Get to Know Southern Dawn Charters
Family-owned and -operated, Southern Dawn Charters has Captains Ray and Laken at the helm, who have been fishing the Gulf of Mexico their entire lives and are excited to share both their knowledge and passion.
Operating out of the St. Andrews Marina, guests can choose between their 43-foot Provincial cabin-style boat or 45-foot Infinity sport fishing boat. Each provides comfortable amenities including A/C and a bathroom.
Able to accommodate 1 to 15 passengers, they host everything from intimate family outings to bachelor parties. Excursion times range from 4-hour trolling trips to 12-hour bottom fishing. Depending on the season, you can expect to reel in a wide variety of fish, including:
- King Mackerel
What Comes Included in The Trip?
Sit back and relax as Southern Dawn’s deckhands handle all the heavy lifting. The price of your trip includes everything from your fishing license, tackle, bait, and fuel costs. Fish cleaning down at the market and use of live bait are both an additional fee.
What Do I Need to Bring?
All guests are required to wear non-scuff shoes while onboard. These can range from flip-flops, deck shoes, or water shoes. To help combat the Florida sunshine, sunscreen and a brimmed hat are also highly recommended.
As trips last between 4 to 12 hours, the crew also encourages guests to load up a few coolers with food and cold drinks to enjoy while at sea. While not required, cash tips are greatly appreciated by the hardworking deckhands.
