Meet Allyson Gerron Raymond
30A Ballet was founded by dancer Allyson Gerron Raymond. A former professional ballet dancer herself, Allyson wanted to create a local space that offered the same level of professional instruction as she saw in bigger cities.
Prior to opening 30A Ballet, Allyson was an instructor with the Atlanta Ballet for 19 years. She also served as a student to some of the world’s most renown teachers including David Howard, Robert Barnett, and Anne Burton Avery.
Today, Allyson brings these experiences with her as she helps children and teens learn the art of ballet.
Educational Instruction
The education you’ll receive at 30A Ballet is unlike any other. Each teacher has years of professional dancing experience. Together, they hail from several prestigious institutions such as the Alvin Ailey Dancy Theatre, NYU, Joffrey Ballet, and the Rockettes.
Furthermore, Ballet isn’t the only dance being taught at 30A. Students can partake in a wide range of dance styles, including modern dance and tap.
For those students looking to take their skills to a more advance level, the studio also has their own 30A Ballet Company. This company is for kids ages nine and older and can be joined through audition. The company will perform several recitals throughout the year, such as The Nutcracker as well as performing at the Holly Fair Festival.
