After a week of hard work, nothing is better than gathering with good friends for a night of merriment, and today’s Local Spotlight has just the place.
Welcome to the House of Bourbon. This local favorite has been serving up smooth drinks, laughter, and live music to folks on the Gulf for years. See what their all about and how you can join in on the fun through the sections below!
Opened by Loren Smith and located inside the historic Shrimp Boat restaurant, House of Bourbon pays homage to his father—and original Shrimp Boat owner—Lowe Smith.
Back in the day, Lowe Smith called it the VIP Gentleman’s club. It served as a place for locals to drink whiskey, smoke, and enjoy the entertainment of burlesque dancers.
Although no longer owned by Loren, his family legacy can still be seen throughout the premises with its handmade whiskey bottle chandelier, built-in live stage, and hand-cut wood floors.
